I'm pleased to announce the October 14 revival of me blog (Facts Aren't True), an event that has long been postponed due to coursework, among other things. Coursework, by the way, is not a euphemism for activities such as partying, quad-ratting, show-going, pleasure-seeking, sleeping, or clearing my mind. Of course these commitments take up a lot of time, too. Moving on, my apologies to all the faithful readers whose RSS feed had been temporarily inactive.
The latest:
you probably noticed the missing banner at the top. i replaced it with a painting done by Wayne White, a really tight artist i came across this summer compliments of esquire
+ new beaters (already dented) - Nike Vandal Untold Truth Collection's
+ my friend Pat maintains a music/art/plant blog with his friend from Parsons:
stayheady.blogspot
+ last week[end] was undoubtedly among my wildest at university. it kicked off wednesday night with a hot chip show, got better the next night at of montreal, and definitely peaked friday night at girl talk. below, a picture of gregg gillis wearing a red pittsburgh cap i put on his head at some point in the show:

it was never recovered, but Brightest Young Things has great pictures of some random girl wearing it for the rest of the night.
+ i had the opportunity to meet Melchizea (aka steve), a traveling hippy, the other day in a park nearby campus. while i'm willing to guess his age was in the 60s, this man was wholly enigmatic, claiming to have been to both the beginning and the end of the universe. he had wildly cool ideals (no money!!$!) and bragged that he is among the top twenty five drum-makers in the world. The weather here has been beautiful, and it was a pleasant afternoon. We watched him make flutes out of bamboo for a while, and he gave us all one as a gift. Before we parted, he told us about a wild hippy festival every summer, the only constant in his life...but I can't post such a sacred title online.
+ reality: barack obama means pocket change
+ it's been so long that the ideas have come and gone, and what you have read is all i can remember for the time being.
more to come, at a much more reasonable rate!
