The Obligatory re-Reading of 'The Catcher in the Rye'

I really wish Salinger wasn't a hermetic bastard and had written more than he had; particularly, a novel about coming of age for kids that graduated from high school but are equally as confused as Holden about where to take their life would be really helpful right now. I'm currently on spring break but haven't been this miserable for years (actually, since winter break). Home really sucks when you have such few friends and live in a town that's so far off the map. I was supposed to go to New York for some Big East games at the garden and hit up Supreme, among other things, but this plan was postponed until Thursday and the wait really is no longer worth it. Subsequently, I think I'm going to catch the Greyhound from Harrisburg back to DC tomorrow whether my parents like it or not. Did I mention it's my mom's birthday?
