If knowledge is the key, then just show me the lock!

Some insight I stumbled across in Esquire, for my readers:

You can point to the north at any point by wearing a functioning wristwatch (I had to insert "functioning" because I've worn watches that don't work just for the sake of wearing a hot piece ). Point the hour hand at the sun and the point directly between the hour hand and the 12 is South. But as we know, the South lost the Civil War and consequently North is always labeled on a compass rose...so just turn 180 degrees and face N. Good looks.
