Future Ex-Wives

Well, it seems I've taken a giant step in the American tradition of spending money I don't have. I'll admit, it feels pretty good. Almost as good as new kicks on me feet, which is precisely one of the things I ordered (pics to come, maybe in a few months? My friend's picking them up for me, and I don't know whether I'll have them shipped or just wait to see him in DC). Plus my credit card has roses on it. I also succumbed to a persuasive email convincing me to resubscribe to McSweeney's DVD magazine, Wholphin. This was an easy decision, as I had just finished watching the 5th disc, which featured a profound short film called "Death to the Tinman" which inspired me in many regards. It's not on YouTube, but I'd gladly watch it with you sometime (if this is a reality, of course).

In other news, I previously failed to mention that I emailed the link to my scathing review of Geno's to them based on a link on their website. I never got a reply. Interestingly enough, their site mentions none of their stupid 'patriotism.' Good news though: the verdict regarding cheesesteak destinations is in--yesterday Seth sent me a picture text from Steaks on South [Street] that said "Feel free to order in any language. We will gladly serve you, with brotherly love!" Can't wait for the opportunity to go there.
